These are multi-faceted, paid internships providing opportunities to lead and encourage church groups. These internships include hands-on ministry in an area that interns are passionate about with one of Mission Indy's partner ministries or agencies. They also include a framework for spiritual growth as Mission Indy staff intentionally pours into and disciples each intern.
The summer begins with a relaxed retreat weekend and then two weeks of intensive training. During these two weeks, interns gain practical skills training and have in-depth discussions on the nature of the Body of Christ and how Christians should respond to current issues. The interns then spend the next 7 weeks alternating between leading church groups and working with assigned ministries. The summer ends with a debrief session that reflects on all that has been learned and experienced. Mission Indy's prayer is for interns to continue to grow spiritually and increase their love for the church.

Mission Indy was an amazing experience, and it has helped me grow in countless ways. From my leadership skills to my relationship with God, the ways I have developed have made me a stronger Christian and stronger woman. I enjoyed all of my experiences, but my favorite part of the summer was getting to observe the relationships that were built and strengthened in the youth groups that came to serve with Mission Indy.
