2015 Interns

  • Ashley Haack - Intern coordinator

    College: Indiana State University

Soon I will finish up my bachelor's degree at Indiana State University and will have a B.S. in Criminology and Psychology. In the fall I plan to attend Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne to pursue my Master of Arts in Deaconess Studies and from their would like to work with and counsel at-risk and delinquent youth and possibly coach basketball. I love being outdoors (especially when it's snowing), playing many sports, working out, reading, and jamming out to my favorite tunes.

  • Morgan Cochran - Intern

I am from Atlanta, Georgia and am currently a sophomore at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. I love singing, writing music, laughing, and going on spontaneous adventures. I just recently switched my major to Childhood Education and love it so far. At Samford, I am an active member in a club called SAVE. I am also involved in For The Little Lives. I am a dreamer and hope to one day build a school overseas and also do the World Race post-graduation.

  • Ellie Hipp - Intern

    College: Harding University

I currently finishing up my freshman year at Harding University. I love running, playing soccer, and spending time with friends. When I first arrived at Harding in the fall I was was a nursing major. However, after much prayer and consideration this semester, I recently changed my major to elementary education. I dream of bringing the attitude of Christ to the public school system and positively impacting the lives of the kids I will be teaching.

  • Collin Cummings - Intern

    College: Indiana State University

I started college at Indiana State in 2011 as a Speech Language Pathology, but found that this wasn't God's calling for my life. In 2013, I decided to switch my major to Social Studies Education as a result of my love of history and of my interest in working with you. During the Summer of 2014, I added special education as a second major. I am an active volunteer at Lighthouse Mission as well as 14th and Chestnut Community Center in Terre Haute, where I was a summer intern in 2014. I serve as the volunteer outreach coordinator for Indiana State Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. My future goals include becoming a licensed special ed/ social studies ed. teacher. I would love to work part-time with a nonprofit organization as well as I would like to continue to be highly involved with youth ministry.

  • Abigail Overton - Intern

    College: Ball State University

I am from Indianapolis, IN and have attended Chapel Rock Christian Church my entire life. I have a younger brother (18) and a younger sister (7). I love to be outside riding bikes, playing soccer and rock climbing. At Ball State University I am involved with Campus Crusades and have had a great experience with it, this organization really helped my transition into college. I also met my current roommates through CRU with whom I now share an apartment. In the future, after college, I want to work in a city (I am not sure where yet) as an urban planner and use my career to glorify God, specifically by going on mission trips to other countries to help them rebuild and reinvest in their cities.

  • Alex Rasbury - Intern

    College: Harding University 2015

I am a 23 year old from Bartonville, Illinois. I have completed an associates degree from Illinois Central College and will be starting a Youth and Family Ministry degree at Harding University this coming Fall. When I am not working my current retail job, I enjoy doing anything outdoors. Running, hiking, fishing, and sports of any kind. I also enjoy having fun with others. My goal in life is to one day lead a youth group, taking them on mission trips such as Mission Indy, teaching them that life can be so enjoyable when living through Christ.

  • Heather Spillman - Intern

    College: Harding University

I'm a student at Harding University in Searcy, AR (just north of Little Rock). Recently I changed my major to Applied Spanish with licensure in teaching. I don't have all the details of my future worked out but I try to live my life one day at a time and let God take care of the rest. I also enjoy playing tennis, reading, writing, and spending time with my dog.

  • Tara Yager - Intern

    College: University of Evansville

I will be spending my 2015 Fall semester abroad in England! I am a Business Management major and involved in several organizations on my campus. Currently, I am a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, holding the Director of Activities position and the Special Events Chair. I am also a Purple Aces Cheerleader. Outside of my life on campus, I enjoy crafting, reading, singing, and spending time with my family. I've been raised as a Christian almost my entire life, involved with Children's Church, VBS, and Praise Teams. I have a dream of owning a hair salon. But mostly, I want to raise a family and have an impact on everyone I come in contact with.

  • Anna Crowder - Intern

    College: Harding University

I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am currently a freshman at Harding University where I am studying Computer Science. Family is very important to me, and I love spending time with my three older siblings. I enjoy most outdoor activities including hiking, biking, and running. I am not sure what type of computer work I wish to do after school. I do know that wherever I end up I hope to be a constant light for Christ in my local community.

  • Christina Crutchfield - VBS Coordinator

I am from the wonderful city of Memphis, Tennessee. I studied Urban Studies at Johnson University, and I hope to use this degree to help restore broken communities to places of peace.
